Security Recruiting - Hiring FAQ

How does the hiring process work?
Job candidates should download an application form and send it and a resume in a Word .doc or .txt format to one of the recruiters listed below in the "Contact Us" area. Resumes should include an e-mail address and dates (month/year) of all military, police, security, FPO, Corrections, time and experience.

Resumes are reviewed to ensure that candidates meet the minimum qualifications. If candidates meet the qualifications, they are scheduled for a conference call that is conducted by Kuwait and stateside recruiters on different dates and times throughout the week.

During the phone conference, a 30-minute presentation is given on CSA history, benefits, qualifications, FPO duties, processing documents, FPO training upon arrival in Kuwait, medical processing and the employment offer understanding.

After the conference, candidates are given the opportunity to accept an employment offer with CSA as a Force Protection Officer, which starts by sending us an e-mail requesting an employment packet.

If candidates have experience with civilian police, DA/DOD police, security, AKAL, Corrections, or Force Protection Officer experience from other contracts, they will need to scan and e-mail certificates, certification, or certificate of completion or training. Once the e-mail is received by Kuwait or stateside recruiters, an employment packet is mailed to candidates at their physical home address via FEDEX, DHL or UPS (no P.O. boxes) and should be received within 48 hours, not counting weekends.

If you are interested in applying for a Force Protection Officer position, please send us your resume in a word .doc or .txt format to one of the recruiters in the Contact Us area of the site.

If applicants are overweight, does that disqualify them from employment with Combat Support Associates and CSA, Ltd.?
Not necessarily. Candidates are asked to see an Army recruiter for a Body Fat Tape Measurement Test (free) to verify whether they meet the maximum body fat percentage. A candidate’s weight can be over the limit, but their body fat percentage cannot be. The results of that taping are then e-mailed/faxed to the CSA, Ltd. Medical Department.

Does a poor credit report disqualify applicants?
Not necessarily. Candidates are asked to continue with the employment process. Negative credit reports are reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis.

If applicants have active security clearance in effect, do they still need to fill out an SF86 (9 page security questionnaire)?
Yes. Every applicant, no matter what their current clearance status is, must complete the SF86.

Why is it important to have a clear scanned copy of an applicant’s passport and state driver's license?
If the passport is not clearly readable, the Host Nation Office will not accept it. It is required at that point for the passport to be signed, then scanned and saved as a .jpg or .pdf file extension and attached in an e-mail to us. Ensure that the U.S. driver's license will be valid during the deployment year.

If an applicant’s DD 214 member copy 4 shows they were discharged under "GENERAL" conditions, are they still eligible for employment?
No. The DD 214 member copy 4 (which is a required document during processing if a candidate has active duty) must show an "HONORABLE" discharge. Any other characterization of discharge other than honorable is a disqualifier.
